Michael Malamed, CVRC
Michael Malamed, CVRC
Motivated Recovery Coach and Yoga Instructor. I provide private addiction coaching in all areas of alcohol problems, drug misuse, and other addictions. I work with an individual to help put together a personal care plan. In my coaching, I use a holistic lifestyle engineering plan. I help the client and his family assess their situation. I help them set goals and create a template for the course of action ahead. I believe in working with the client closely. I believe in accountability as a tool. I use multiple resources that I have available to aid the client and his family. I view addiction as a form of dis-ease that affects people on every level of their being and in every aspect of their lives. Ultimately our purpose (myself, the client, and his or her family) is to help them tap into their full potential and realize their capacity for excellence. My philosophy is based on Yoga or Union. Recovery is a process where a person moves from darkness to light, disconnection (addiction) to connection (recovery). Yoga, like recovery, is a place where everything connects. Therefore, I believe Yoga is an antidote to addiction.
